Mithapur is located in
Jamnagar District of
Gujarat. It is about 10 km south of
Okha and 20 km north of
Dwarka.
The township is privately owned by Tata Chemicals. It is part of the 5,398-acres of freehold land obtained in the 1930s on long-term lease from the government of the erstwhile princely state of Baroda. The present population of Mithapur is about 15,000 and the township has an area of nearly 663 acres.
Jamnagar Airport is the nearest airport. Mithapur Railway Station is on the Okha - Bhatia rail route.
