Koteshwar is a highly revered pilgrim center for Hindus situated in the
Kutch District of
Gujarat. The site is located near
Narayan Sarovar, one of the five holy lakes of the Hindu faith. Koteshwar is around 215 km away from
Bhuj.
Koteshwar is named after the Kotilingeshwar Shiva Temple, which enshrines a Shivling. The idol of Nandi, the divine bull of Lord Shiva, seen at this temple is an exact example of Kutchi architecture. Koteshwar is an ideal place to visit sunset too.
Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary, situated nearby, is worth visiting. New Bhuj Railway Station serves Koteshwar.
