Pindhara




Pindhara, situated 72 km from Dwarka, is an ancient port town in Jamnagar District of Gujarat.

Pindhara is regarded as a holy place, mentioned as 'Pinda Taraka' in the Mahabharata. It is believed that it was here that the sage Durvasas had his hermitage. Prime attraction is the Pindara Temple. A major attraction of Pindhara is the feeding of 350 to 400 peacocks, every morning, by Naranbhai Karangia, a resident of Kennedy village. Gaga Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is also at an accessible distance.

Porbandar Airport and Bhatia Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
