Managed by a trust called Shri Kavi Jain Teerth, Shri Kavi Teerth is situated at
Kavi in the
Bharuch District of
Gujarat. The temple is dedicated to Shri Adishwar Bhagvan and Shri Dharamnath Bhagvan. Both the idols are white in color. The temple of Shri Dharamnath Bhagvan was built by Shrimati Veerabai w/o Shri Kunwarji Gandhi. The main idol of this temple was established by Shri Vijaysensuriji in 1655 Vikram Samvat. Both the temples are famous as Sas-Bahu temple.
According to legend, Shrimati Heerabai went to have darshan of the temple built by herself along with her daughter-in-law Veerabai. Veerabai got head injury at the time of entry. She complained about the low height of the entry door to her mother-in-law. Then her mother-in-law asked her to build another temple by the money brought from her father. Veerabai took this as a challenge and built a temple within time limit of 5 years.
Every year, a celebration is organized on Magh Krishna 7 and melas are conducted on Kartik Poornima and Chaitra Poornima. The temple is managed by a trust called Shri Kavi Jain Teerth.
Dharamshala and bhojanshala facilities are also available.
