Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) is a medium-sized wading bird, with a fine straight bill and yellowish legs. It also has an eye-catching long white stripe from the bill over the eye to the back of the neck. It feeds on insects, worms, spiders, shellfish and small fish. The bird is locally called Chupka, Chobaha and Titvari. The bird is a common winter visitor.
