Shri Datta Mandir is situated on a hillock covered with dense groves of areca palms, at Dattawadi in
South Goa District. It is dedicated to the
Trimurti -
Brahma,
Vishnu, and
Maheshwar.
The interior of the temple comprises of white marble. Datta Jayanthi is a prominent festival attended by large number of devotees in the month of December. It is believed that the deity has the power to cure mental troubles.
Dattawadi is 37 km from Panaji and 40 km from Margao.
