Holy Spirit Church, located at
Margao, is one of the notable buildings in
South Goa District. Built in 1565, it is situated at the site of the Shree Damodar Temple which was destroyed by the Portuguese.
This church is a fine example of Indian Baroque style architecture. It has a beautiful rectangular square in front. The exquisitely decorated altars are dedicated to St Peter and St Michael.
The annual feast, which falls in May, draws people from far and near.
