Betul is a traditional fishing village situated in
South Goa District of
Goa. It is a picturesque village with plenty of fruit bearing trees and beautiful beaches. The river
Sal flows through this village along the south Goan coastline before pouring itself out into the
Arabian Sea. The majority of the population belongs to the fishing community.
Betul Beach, a silver sandy beach, is the main attraction of the village. Margao is 30 km from Betul, where the nearest railway station is situated. Goa Airport at
Dabolim is the nearest airport.
