Salem

Located about 6 km from Chandel, Salem is in the north-eastern part North Goa District. It is near the border of Pernem - Bicholim taluks and is bounded by Alorna (2 km) in the west, Ibrampur (2 km) in the east and Dumacem (4 km) in the south. Goa-Maharashtra border is nearby.

The nearest tourist destination is Alorna Fort. Mayem Lake and Lamgao Caves are accessible from here.
