Assolna is on the banks of the Assolna River in Salcette taluk of South Goa District. Carmona is 4 km west and Cuncolim is 3 km south. There is ferry service from Cavelossim to Assolna through the Sal River. Betul Beach, Mobor Beach and Cavelossim Beach can be visited while in Assolna. The nearest airport is Goa Airport and the closest railhead is Balli Railway Station. Nagueri Bondoy-Margao road passes close by.
