Dedicated to Goddess Kalikadevi, Shree Kalikadevi Temple is one of the most important Hindu shrines in
North Goa District. This beautiful shrine is situated at
Kansarpal, about 14 km from
Mapusa. The presiding deity is Rudra, a fierce form of
Goddess Durga.
Shree Kalikadevi Temple is a unique blend of fine sculpture and exquisite architecture. The temple has a huge dome with a gold ‘Kalash’ on top. There is a stage to host dramas and other cultural activities during the festive occasions. Agrasalas (Rest House) surrounding the temple provide accommodation facilities for devotees.
Nearby attraction is the Shree Mahadev Bhumika Temple at Sal. Anjuna Beach, Chapora Beach and Candolim Beach are close to Kansarpal.
Karmali Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
