Chapora Village, situated in
Bardez taluk, is a fishing village with a vibrant rural life. The village has rocky hills and on the top of the hill stands the ancient Portuguese fort, which is around 500 years old. The village has dense coconut groves, sandy coves, pleasant beaches and rocky cliffs. The estuary of the river Chapora can also be found there.
Chapora Beach, situated there, is one of the most beautiful and interesting places of
Goa. The beaches at
Anjuna and
Vagator are the nearby attractions.
Chapora is 24 km from Panaji and the town Mapusa is just 9 km from there. Goa Airport at
