Khas Mahal, the exclusive three roomed palace of the emperor, is situated south of the
Red Fort. It is relatively small and divided into three main parts such as Tosh Khana, the Khwabgah and Tasbih Khana.
On the southern side of Khas Mahal is the Tosh Khana (robe room). This room has a beautiful marble filigree screen on its north wall. The Khwabgah (palace of dreams), situated in the center of the Mahal, was the place where the emperor used to appear daily before people gathered on the riverbanks below. The north chamber is the Tasbih Khana, where the emperor accustomed to worship.
