Located on the western banks of the
Yamuna River is the fifth citadel of
Delhi, Feroz Shah Kotla. What remains of this city today are ruins of a fort and palace, a mosque and ramparts of the fort wall. The city was founded by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. It is situated close to the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. The main attraction of this medieval historical monument is a 13 meter high Ashokan pillar, which Firoz Shah Tughlaq had brought from
Punjab.
