Kalika Temple




Kalika Temple is a renowned shrine situated in Delhi. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Goddess Kalika, an incarnation of Goddess Kali, the symbol of death and destruction in Hinduism.

This domed twelve-sided temple dates back to AD 1764. Additions have been made in the mid 19th century.

The noteworthy feature of the temple is a jyothi (flame), which burns round the clock. Kalika Temple draws thousands of devotees during the Navaratri festival. Special pujas are held on Tuesdays.

The famous Bahai Temple (also known as Lotus Temple) is a nearby attraction.
