Kalika Temple is a renowned shrine situated in
Delhi. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Goddess Kalika, an incarnation of
Goddess Kali, the symbol of death and destruction in Hinduism.
This domed twelve-sided temple dates back to AD 1764. Additions have been made in the mid 19th century.
The noteworthy feature of the temple is a jyothi (flame), which burns round the clock. Kalika Temple draws thousands of devotees during the Navaratri festival. Special pujas are held on Tuesdays.
