Adham Khan’s Tomb is situated towards the north of the
Qutab Minar, about 15 km south of
Delhi. Emperor
Akbar erected the tomb in 1562 in memory of Adham, one of his courtiers and for his grieving mother.
The tomb is octagonal in shape with a single and wide dome and stands at the south-east corner of the Lal Kot walls. This striking landmark in
Mehrauli is also known as Bhulbhulaiyan (meaning labyrinth or maze). Across the road, away from Adham Khan's Tomb is the
Gandhak ki Baoli.
