Nani Daman is one among the twin cities of
Daman and Diu which is separated from its sister town
Moti Daman by Daman Ganga River. Major point of attraction here is the
Nani Daman Fort. The principal building inside the fort is the imposing
Church of Our Lady of the Sea.
There is a fish market and a small fishing fleet which anchors alongside. There is a Jain Temple to the north whose inside walls are exquisitely garnished with glassed - over 18th century murals which depict the life of Mahavir, the founder of Jainism.
The nearest railhead is at Vapi.
