Rajim, situated on the banks of
Mahanadi in Chattisgarh, is famous for an ancient temple dedicated to
Lord Vishnu. Here Vishnu is enshrined as Rajivalochan. The temple is a fine example of Mahakoshal architecture. A Nala inscription dating back to AD 700 bears references to the Sarabhapura sovereigns.
Rajim is 45 km south-east of Raipur, the state capital. Regular buses are available from Raipur.
