Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, named after late Pandit Ravishankar Shukla, the first chief minister of
Madhya Pradesh, has its headquarters in the west part of
Raipur.
Catering to the 16 districts of Chhattisgarh, this university’s jurisdiction also touches the border areas of Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Orissa, and Andhra Pradesh. The university has about 25 teaching departments in the campus and has 159 affiliated colleges and offers academic programs in degree, diploma, postgraduate diploma, certificate, M Phil and doctorate levels. Self-financing courses are also included.
