Dokra Metal Craft is considered as the oldest form of metal casting. It is common in the tribal belts of
Madhya Pradesh,
Orissa,
West Bengal and
Andhra Pradesh. The method of casting is with the substitution of wax with molten metal by the traditional hollow casting method. The staple material is the brass scrap. The products include dokra horses, elephants, peacock, owl, religious images, measuring bowls and lamp casket.
