Patna University, located at
Patna, was founded as a teaching and affiliating university in 1917. Later, it attained the residential status in March 1962.
This university offers intermediate course in arts and commerce and bachelor degrees in arts and commerce. Vocational courses include bachelor of library and information science, postgraduate diplomas in public administration and local self government, international relations, and journalism.
The university operates a three term semester, namely, July to early October, mid-November to 3rd week in December and early January to early June.
