Nawada District




With a population of one and a half million, Nawada District sprawls over an area of 2,494 sq km. Nawada and Rajauli are the two subdivisions. There are 10 blocks with Nawada town as the headquarters. Nawada is surrounded by the districts Nalanda, Hazaribagh, Jamui and Gaya which are of great historical and geographical significance.

Paddy is the main agricultural crop. There are many beedi factories located throughout Nawada. The Sakri is the main river. Kakolat is a magnificent waterfall, situated on a hill named Kakolat hill.
