Lacchaur village is located 6 km south of Sikandara, in
Jamui District of
Bihar. It is said that this village was the birth place of
Lord Mahavir, the 24th
Tirthankar of the Jains.
Major points of attraction here is the two famous Jain temples, the Muth Buddhroop and Muth Purusnath, about 5 km south of the village. In each of these temple is a small statue of Lord Mahavir.
The convenient railway station is at Jamui. By road, Lacchaur is linked with Jamui and Sikandara.
