Ghosrawan is an ancient village located just 5 km from
Pawapuri,
Patna District. It is believed that this place was a renowned Buddhist monastery visited by Hiuen Tsang, the Chinese traveler.
Major point of attraction at Ghosrawan is a gigantic
Buddha statue. This statue, located by the side of a river, measures 10 ft high and is built of shiny black stones. Tetrawan village, famous for a temple and a museum, is a few kilometers south of Ghosrawan. The village museum showcases Buddha statues excavated from the area.
