Mundeshvari Stone Temple is an octagonal shrine situated at
Ramgarh in
Kaimur District of
Bihar. According to the inscriptions in the temple, the history of the temple dates back to AD 636. The temple stands as an example for the architectural style of the Gupta period.
The shrine has eight principal offsets with four doorways in the main direction and four niches in the corners, each flanked by a pair of smaller niches. The doorframes and the niches are adorned in Gupta style. Traces of a mandap can be seen in the front of the temple.
