Tarachandi is an important religious place located in
Rohtas District. The main attractions are the temple of Goddess Tarachandi and the temple of Chandi Devi. A rock close to Chandi Devi temple, holds a small inscription of Pratap Dhawa. Large numbers of Hindus assemble here to worship the goddess.
