Malinithan




Malinithan is a famous archaeological site situated at the foot of the Siang hills, in the West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located one kilometer east of Likabali, the seat of administration of the district.

Major point of attraction is the ruins of a 14th century Durga temple that had been excavated from here. Hundreds of pilgrims and tourists visit this place every year. Akash-Ganga waterfalls, 5 km away, is another spot worth visiting. Malinithan also boasts some interesting trekking and hiking trails.

The best time to visit Malinithan is from October to April.

Nearest airport is at Leelabari (110 km), Assam. There is a helipad in Along. Silapathar Railway Station is the nearest railhead. By road, Malinithan is connected with Guwahati and Itanagar.
