Devidol Temple is located at Gaurisagar in
Sibsagar District of
Assam. It is about 4 km from
Sibsagar.
The temple is of similar architecture and design as that of the Sibdol Temple at Sibsagar. This shrine is dedicated to Devi.
The shikhara of the temple is constructed in the standard pattern, but without the familiar amalaka. In its place, the shikara has a tier of gold-plated kalasas (in tapering sizes) placed on a solid circular base (made of bricks). Bands of sculptural panels can be seen on the exterior walls of the temple. Each panel has a number of niches containing an image.
Vishnudol Temple and Sibsagar Tank are situated nearby. The nearest railway station is at Simaluguri, 20 km away.
