Merapani is a Taluk headquarters, situated in Golaghat District of Assam. It is bounded by Jamuguri (15 km) in the west, Baruagaon (15 km) in the north and Bhandari (6 km) in the east.
Shiva Temple attached to the Merapani Police Station is the prime attraction. Major picnic spots such as Kaziranga National Park, Garampani Hot water springs, and tea plantations are easily accessible from here.
