Dibrugarh, the administrative headquarters of Dibrugarh District , is a beautiful town situated along the river Brahmaputra, in Assam. It is the largest tea-exporting town in India. Dibrugarh is about 439 km north-east of Guwahati.
The name Dibrugarh is derived from the mouth (mukh) of the river Dibaru or Dibru.
Major tourist attraction is the Dibru-Saikhowa National Park (50 km). A stroll along the tea gardens, situated in and around the town, will be an enchanting experience.
