Hrongkhols, also spelt as Hrangkawal and Rongkhol, is a tribal group in
Assam and mostly inhabits the areas in
North Cachar Hills. Agriculture is the main occupation of this tribe. They build their houses on wooden slit and use bamboo profusely for the floor, walls and thatch.
Parangat festival is the main festival celebrated. Fish is a symbol of prosperity for this tribe. Darlam, Doinkini, Rochemiam, Soksollam, Soksolkirlam and Bhailam are the main dance forms of these tribes.
