Gohpur is the headquarters of the Gohpur sub-division in
Sonitpur District of
Assam. The town is situated 18 km to the east of Singlijan and 20 km to the north of Dhansirimukh.
Itanagar is 24 km to the north of Gohpur. National Highway 52 passes through this town.
