Buddhism. This lineage was founded by
Tsongkha-pa, the great philosopher saint of Tibet. Gelug literally means 'virtuous ones' and pa denotes 'school'. Gelugpa Sector evolved into a fully independent school of Tibetan Buddhism in the fourteenth century.
