Daporijo, alternately Daporizo, the administrative headquarters of Upper Subansiri District, is a charming town on the right bank of river Subansiri. Along is 160 km east, while Itanagar - the state capital – is 423 km towards south-west.
Major attraction of Daporijo is the Meghna cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Subansiri is an ideal destination for angling and rafting. The hiking and trekking trails around caters to adventure enthusiasts.
