Christianity is the largest religion in the world. It is a monotheistic religion whose followers known as Christians. The word 'Christian' means 'belonging to Christ' or 'of Christ'. Christians consider Jesus Christ as the savior of the mankind. Christianity has been grouped into three main groups, namely, Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestantism. Bible is the sacred book of Christians.
Christianity originated in India about 3,000 years ago, with the arrival of St Judas Thomas – a disciple of Jesus. In India, about three percent of the total population is Christians.
