Warangal District, Kota Gullu is famous for a 13th century temple complex noted for its Kakatiya temple architecture.
The complex comprises about 20 temples in various designs and sizes. The main temple is devoted to Ganapesvara. Built of red sandstone, the main temple is decorated with bracket figures. A beautifully built Kalyana mandapa and other subsidiary shrines are worth seeing.
Though now in a dilapidated condition due to age and neglect, this veritable museum still reflects the architectural proficiency and extraordinary craftsmanship of the Kakatiyas.
