Vikarabad is a beautiful summer resort town, perched at an altitude of 1153 m above sea level, in the
Rangareddy District of
Andhra Pradesh. It is 83 km west of
Hyderabad.
Major point of tourist interest in the vicinity is the beautiful spot of Anantagiri, which is the birthplace of the Musi River. The place is noted for its lovely landscape and gorges and hence is a suitable picnic locale outside Hyderabad.
