Undavalli Caves are in the Undavalli village of
Guntur District. The caves are 8 km from
Vijayawada and 32 km from
Guntur. These four-storied caves belong to the 7th century and are located at the top the high hills that face the
Krishna river. Fine specimens of cut-in architectural and sculptural models are seen in the hill. A huge statue of
Lord Vishnu in lying position, sculpted from a single block of granite, is the major attraction.
