Prolaya Vema Reddi (1324-1353) founded the Reddi Kingdom at Addanki (in presesnt day Andhra Pradesh). Earlier, he was a commander of Prathaparudhra II. He built 84 forts at Vinukonda, Dharanikota, Chandole, Kondavidu,
Kondapalli and
Bellamkonda. Prolaya Vema Reddi also donated 44 agraharams and provided facilities to pilgrims at
Ahobilam and Srisailam.
