Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a cultural institution founded in 1939, by K M Munshi, with the blessings of
Mahatma Gandhi. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has 17 branches spread all over India, with its head office in
Mumbai. Besides publishing cultural books and periodicals, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan runs schools and colleges also all over the country.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has many other activities like conducting Sanskrit classes, art workshops, and running research libraries. It has also opened professional colleges for journalism, management, and engineering.
