Located on the banks of Kalindi River in
Nellore District, Alaghumallari Krishna temple is dedicated to
Lord Krishna. The temple is 3 km from
Sulurpeta.
The mythical battle fought between Krishna and Jambavant in the Dwaparayuga for samantakamani is believed to have taken place here. The images of Sri Krishna along with his consorts Jambavathy and Satyabhama are installed in the sanctum sanctorum. The temple is famous for its excellent sculptural artistry. Among them, the image of Soundaryavalli installed in a little pavilion in the temple is the main attraction. Brahmotsavam is celebrated here in the month of Vaisakha (April and May) and it attracts a large crowd.
