Shri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple is located at
Annavaram, a sacred pilgrim centre on a hill top known as Ratnagiri, in
East Godavari District of
Andhra Pradesh.
The presiding deity here is Veeravenkata Satyanarayana Swamy and the Goddess is Ananta-Lakshmi Satyavathi Amma. Devotees observe penance in the name of Satyanarayana Swamy to fulfill their wishes and an average of about 0.1 millions of penance are performed here every year. Thread marriages are performed in large numbers.
This two storey shrine is constructed in the shape of a chariot with four wheels on its sides, according to the architectural norms of Agni Purana. It has
yantra on the lower floor and idols of the lord on the upper. There are also the shrines of Vana Durga and Kanaka Durga.
The major festivals held at the temple are Bhishma Ekadasi, Kalyanotsavam and Vysakha Ekadasi.
Annavaram is 45 km from Kakinada. Annavaram Railway Station is the nearest railhead, about 3 km away.
