Situated about 6 km from Punganur in
Chittoor District, Shri Ammavari Alayam is a small Devi temple in
Andhra Pradesh. This temple is easily reachable from Madanapalle.
The temple placed within a stone
prakara, can be approached only from the east. The temple itself faces the east and the entrance is surmounted by a low
gopura. The main shrine is in the center, with a mandapa each in the south-western north-western corners.
