Rajampet

Rajampet is a taluk headquarters town located near Tallapaka in the Cuddapah District of Andhra Pradesh. Situated at a distance of around 48 km from Cuddapah, this place is renowned for rich reserves of clay deposits which are used to make stone implements. A portion of Sri Venkateswara National Park, located at a distance of 10 km from Tirupati, lies in Rajampet. The Cheyyur River, a tributary of the Pennar River, flows through this village. Masjid-e-Azam, Chand Phira Gumbadh, Gandikota Fort, Pushpagiri Temple Complex and Siddheswaraswamy Temple are the nearby tourist destinations.
