Domakonda is located in the
Nizamabad District of
Andhra Pradesh. It lies 4 km off the main highway, 10 km from Kamareddy. Domakonda was a Samsthanam under the
Qutub Shahi and
Asaf Jahi dynasties. It is famous for the 18th century fort built by its Reddy rulers.
This place is an important agricultural center and is also known for the plantations of sugarcane and maize.
