Krishnapatnam Port is a new private sector port located on the East Coast, at Muthukur Mandal, in
Nellore District,
Andhra Pradesh. It is situated 180 km north of Chennai Port. It is being developed to cater to the present requirements of industries located in the hinterland.
The port has a proper anchorage and lighterage facility - loading and unloading geared vessels at anchorage. Floating crane, general cargo berth and transfer vessel facilities are also provided. Customs clearance facility is available onsite.
The port does not function during heavy monsoon period.
Krishnapatnam Port is 26 km from the Nellore Railway Station. The nearest airport is at Chennai (170 km).
