Dachepalli

Dachepalli is a village in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh with archeological importance. Excavations conducted here unearthed a sculptural panel, over 2000 years old, which bears testimony to the rich Buddhist legacy of this area. Evidences suggest its association with important East-West trade routes.

The remnants of the Buddhist monastic settlement are found on a level hill in the north-eastern part of the village. Archeological proof show that the site was a busy center, in the limelight for over 500 years from 1st century AD. A stone dam constructed across Naguleru River which irrigates about 350 acres of land is a nearby spot of interest.
