Kuppam

Located to the south-west of Chittoor, Kuppam is a taluk headquarters town in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. It is seven kilometers south-west of Kangundi. Bangalore is 120 km north-west.

The place enshrines the temples dedicated to Someswara Anjaneya, Tirupati Gamgamma and Subramanya Swami. Dravidian University is located here. Kangundi Fort, situated on a white granite rock hill, is a point of interest nearby.

There are buses from Kuppam Bus Station to Kangundi, Venkatagirikota and other nearby places. Kuppam Railway Station, served by the South Western Railways, is on the Bangarapet-Jolarpettai rail route. Tirupati Airport is the nearest airport.
