Peddapuram

Peddapuram is one of the prominent towns located in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. It is 4 km north-west of Samalkot, which is around 165 west of Visakhapatnam.

Major points of attraction here are Suryanarayana Swami Temple, situated on the Pandava Hill, and Maridamma Temple (renowned for Maridamma Festival). Aditya Engineering College located here is a famous educational institution of the state. Sri Kumara Rama Bheemeswara Swami Temple at Samalkot (4 km) is another spot worth visiting.

Samalkot Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. The town is easily accessible as the National Highway 5 passes nearby. By road, Peddapuram is linked with Pithapuram, Kakinada and Samalkot.
